She was predeceased by: her parents, Taft Gordon and Hazel Gordon; her daughter Gayla Marlene White Dobrinick; her brothers, Jarrell, Kenneth, Calvit, Ronnie and Eldon; and her stepdaughter Carol Gunter.
She is survived by: her husband Johnny Gunter; her grandchildren, Hanna Rux (Josh), Alycia Reitenbach (Neil), Sabrina Hilbert (PJ), Sara Minard (Dolph) and Katie Hickingbottom; her stepgrandchildren, Amber Stuart, Dustyn Watson and Dylan Watson; her daughter Sonja; her sons-in-law, Chuck Dobrinick and Kenneth Hickingbottom; and her brothers, David and Barry Gordon. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parkview Baptist Church (1001 Forsythe Ave, Monroe, LA 71201). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
