He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

“I had a feeling Paul was no longer with us but ignored it convincing myself he would call me after I left some voice mails. This morning I realized I had to do the obituary search. I picked up Paul at the airport in Vietnam when he joined our Battalion in 1969. Gary Henschen was also there at the same time. We flew back to the States on the same plane when my tour was over and Paul’s father passed away at the same time. Our friendship lasted. We had a great reunion in 2015. RIP my friend”
