He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Reeves and J. D. Reeves of Monroe; his parents-in-law, Sally and Bill Hines of Monroe; his brother Larry Reeves (Pat); and his son Daran Hines Reeves.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Hines Reeves; his son Donald Reeves (Amanda) of Dallas, Texas; his sister-in-law Susie Broach (Thomas) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Analeise Thomas (John), John Clay Reeves (Sarah), Thomas Reeves (Audrey) and Taylor Reeves Matthew (Logan); his great grandchildren, Adair, Jack, Oliver, Woods, Jackson, CoCo, Bennett, Lincoln, Wesley Kate and Evan Grace; his sibling's children, Larry Jr. Reeves, Jana Wiggins, Tina Buettner and Robyn Broach; his cousins, Merida Vogt and Joey Shaver; and his friends, Ricky Herlevic, Joey McGinn and Adam Dearman.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Monroe - Kilpatrick Funeral Homes (1200 Lamy Ln, Monroe, LA 71201). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
