It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Timothy Davenport Spires Sr. of Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleanor Spires and William V. Spires (Bill); and his sister-in-law Lori Spires. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Eleanor Bergin (Jaron), Larkin Spires and Daven Spires (Katharine); his grandchildren, Margaret Bergin, Xander Spires, Catherine Bergin, Camille Spires and Ruffin Spires; and his brothers, William (Billy), John Spires (Frances) and Allen Spires, Sr. (Dino). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cox Funeral Homes - Bastrop Chapel (611 N Washington St, Bastrop, LA 71220). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
