He was predeceased by: his son Walter "Trey" Coulter Dunn, III; his parents, Walter Coulter Dunn Sr. and Mary Virginia Burgess Dunn; and his uncle John Carr Burgess. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Atkinson Dunn; his children, Emalie Virginia Dunn (Jennifer Mangum) and William Robert Dunn (Holly Green Murphrey); his grandson Elijah Wade Dunn-Mangum; and his cousins, Pamela Burgess Stratton (Robert), John Carr Burgess III (Andrea) and Jim Burgess (Sharon). He is also survived by numerous other family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mulhearn Funeral Home - Monroe (2308 Sterlington Rd, Monroe, LA 71203). A rosary will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (2510 Emerson St, Monroe, LA 71201).
