He was predeceased by: his parents, Hartwell Marion and Mary Bairnsfather of Virginia; his wife Betty Crane Bairnsfather; his son Guy Marion Bairnsfather; and his brother H. F. Bairnsfather.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Bairnsfather (Debbie) of Monterey and Jill Britt (Jeff) of Monterey; his grandchildren, Guylan Brown (Chase), Ellen Upton (Caleb) and Elliot Britt (Makayla); and his great grandchildren, Easton, Mary Michael Britt, Jackson, William Brown, Addison, Ryder, Sawyer Smith, Mollie Best and Jeanie Grace Willis.
