He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Carter, Sr. and Lola Lorena Carter; his son Arby Dwain Carter; and his siblings, Shirley Ellard, Frances Moreland and Richard Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Dorthy Ann Carter of Monterey, LA; his son Curtis Dean Carter (Donna) of Monterey, LA; his grandsons, Austin Carter of Knoxville, TN, Austin Reeves of Harrisonburg, LA and Christian Carter of Crystal Springs, MS; and his great grandchildren, Grayson Reeves of Monterey, LA, Austin Curtis Reeves of Harrisonburg, LA and Harlon Ray Reeves of Harrisonburg, LA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
