She was predeceased by: her husband James Bertrand Sr.; her children, Barbara, James Jr. and Jeffrey Bertrand; her parents, Adam Pennison and Lena Pennison; and her siblings, Adam Pennison Jr. and Jean Pennison Blanchard.

She is survived by: her children, Diane Amador (John), Isaac Bertrand, Lynn Plaisance (Edmond) and Larry Bertrand; and her daughter-in-law Karin Bertrand. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hargrave Funeral Home (1031 Victor II Blvd, Morgan City, LA 70380). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at the Morgan City Cemetery (450 Myrtle St, Morgan City, LA 70380).
