It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hertha Shoemaker Barrilleaux of Morgan City, Louisiana, who passed away on July 7, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Shoemaker and Grace Shoemaker; her husband Perry Barrilleaux; and her siblings, Charles Shoemaker and Betty Cook.
She is survived by: her sons, Adam Barrilleaux (Kendra "Keke") of Cypress, TX and Scott Barrilleaux (Kristin) of Stonewall, LA; her grandchildren, William, Grace, Mary, Graison and Addison Barrilleaux; and her caregivers, Sherry Carter, Lottie Moore, Gwen Chartain, Catherine Moore, Patricia Colbert, Selena Rios, Florence Yelling, Coratio Yelling and Takesha Brown.
She worked as a CRNA at Franklin Foundation Hospital until retiring in the 1990's. Hertha and Perry spent their entire life together.
