He is survived by: his children, John Cooper, Sr. (Dora) of Morgan City, Louisiana, Joan Wilson of Morgan City, Louisiana, Tracey Wilson of Morgan City, Louisiana and Antoinette Wheeler; his siblings, Clarence Wilson of Beaumont, Joseph Howard (Beverly) of Morgan City, Louisiana, Sarah Hebert of Mobile, Loretta Watson of Pearland, Venita Adesanya of Houston and Loretta Seals of Kenner, Louisiana; his godchildren, Melanie August of Morgan City, Louisiana and Lloyd Pete Wilson of Pearland, Texas; his wife Sylvia R. Wilson; his daughter Sandra Wilkerson; his grandchildren, Stefayne Carter and John Cooper, Jr.; and his siblings, Joseph Wilson, Louis Wilson, Lloyd Wilson, Rosemary Gray, Rebecca Jones, Marie Austin and Albertina Wilson. He is also survived by five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, along with a host of relatives and friends.
