It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Dewitt Hunter (Morgan City, Louisiana), who passed away on July 24, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewitt Hiram Hunter and Pearl Hunter; and his siblings, Patsy Haeuber and Francis Dean Hunter. He is survived by: his family Bill; his wife Mary Colleen Whitley Hunter; his children, Michelle Hunter Trapp (Ronnie Trapp), Katherine Hunter Fondren, William Dewitt Hunter II and Robert Glenn Hunter; his grandchildren, Mary Frances Aucoin, Emma Levert Aucoin, Sutton Avery Fondren, Audrey Elaine Trapp and Reine Augusta Fondren; and his brother Robert Gene Hunter (Carolyn).

In lieu of flowers, the family has lovingly requested that donations be made to Central Catholic and/or Holy Cross Catholic Church.
