He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph R. Meche, Sr. and Lois Marcelle Rabalais (Gene); his grandchild Sawyer CheyAnn; and his parents-in-law, Huron Gauthier, Sr. and Sharon Gauthier.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa Meche of Morrow; his children, Ashley Foret (Lance) of Plaucheville, Casey Meche of Goudeau, Shane Meche (Nicole) of Denham Springs and Kevin Meche of Prairieville; his grandchildren, Elijah Foret, Kinley Meche, Xander Meche and Brianna Murray; his sisters, Annette M. Albarado (Tony) of Prairieville and Wendy M. Moreau (Wiley) of Plaucheville; and his siblings-in-law, Vicky Gauthier of Plaucheville, Randy Gauthier of Cottonport, Bobby Gauthier of Cottonport and Huron Gauthier, Jr. (Casey) of Cottonport.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Escude Funeral Home (6608 Porterie St, Mansura, LA 71350). A rosary will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 12:40 PM at the St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church (820 Front St, Cottonport, LA 71327). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
