He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wylie Powell and Hazel Kidwell Powell; his wife Margie Jewel Powell; his granddaughters, Donna Harmon and Maryann Lee; his great grandchild Allie Higdon; and his sisters, Christine King and Betty Turpin.
He is survived by: his children, Alrita Saucier, Roger Powell (Linda), Eddie Powell (Donna), Anna Austin (Roger) and Randall Powell (Ana). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Lakeside Funeral Home (340 E Prien Lake Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70601). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
