It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Gary of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, born in Jennings, Louisiana, who passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Loris Fruge Gary and Andrew Gary; and his siblings, Robert Gary, Della Person, Charles Gary and JoAnna Parsley.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Gary; his children, Shila Cowart (Mark), Jamie Gary (Alison) and Chad Gary (Kristy); his grandchildren, Ashton (Sydnee), Baylie (Jackson), Andrew, Bryce, Damian, Genevieve, Hannah, Gabrielle, Sydney, Callen and Beau; his great grandchild Mia; his siblings, Jeanette Briggs (Mike) and Michael Gary (Debbie); and his siblings-in-law, Hank Strickler and Stephanie Strickler. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
