We announce the death of Judy Ellen Ewing of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, who passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 76. Judy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Gene Stokeld and Wynodine Demeritt Stokeld; and her siblings, Jim and Gene Stokeld. She is survived by: her husband Don Ewing; her sons, Shane Ewing, Doug Ewing (Heather) and Derek Ewing (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Darian Johnson (Dyllon), Jonathan Ewing, Sarah Ewing, Brennan Ewing, Cain Ewing, Christian Ewing, Aubrie Quibodeaux and Sloane Romero; her great grandchildren, Ripp Johnson and Crimson Mason; and her brother Nolan Stokeld (Barbara).
Viewing was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home - Moss Bluff (2171 US-171, Lake Charles, LA 70611). A rosary was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:15 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Theodore Catholic Church (785 Sam Houston Jones Pkwy, Moss Bluff, LA 70611). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Ritchie Cemetery (178 S Perkins Ferry Rd, Moss Bluff, LA 70611).
