He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thompson and Betty Thompson; his wife Sue Thompson; and his niece Melissa Landry. He is survived by: his great grandchildren, River, Luke and Stratton Thompson; and his sister Marsha McMullen.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Theodore's Catholic Church in Moss Bluff.
