He was predeceased by : his parents, Wanda Burgess (John Anderson, Jr.) and Ivory "Buster" Burgess; his son Specialist Cory W. Burgess; and his cousin Sergeant William "Billy" Bushnell. He is survived by : his wife Katy Burgess; his son Chase (Kristen Burgess) of Moss Bluff; his grandchildren, Wes, Gunnar, Fynli Burgess of Moss Bluff and Hannah Harmes of Longville; and his siblings, John (Tammy Anderson) of Moss Bluff, Tammy (Gary Thompson) of Ragley and Elly Benoit of Sulphur. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
