He is survived by: his wife Joyce Suydam Mattix; his son Richard Mattix (Sue); his grandchildren, Kenneth, Steven, Sarah and Joshua; his son James Mattix (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Robert, Matthew, Kara and Katherine; his daughter-in-law Heidi Tanner; his grandchildren-in-law, Jeremy, Jacob and Mariah; his stepdaughter Candy Suydam (Ron); his stepgrandchildren, Collin, Erin, Laina, Conner and Mykha; his sisters, Carolyn Perkins (Joe) and Virginia Mattix; and his brother-in-law Robert Suydam (Kathy). He is also survived by twenty four great-grandchildren.
