He was predeceased by: his parent Velta Carpenter Johnson; his siblings, O. E. Elliot, Aubrey Johnson, Darrell Johnson and Faith Johnson; and his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Ruth Spears Johnson; his sons, Chad Johnson (Emmalee) and Todd Johnson (Jill Moore); his grandchildren, Caden Johnson, Allie Beth Johnson, Molly Johnson, Clayton Peters, Annabelle Peters, Evelyn Peters, Jaxon Moore and Jett Moore; and his siblings, Lynda Miller and Lanny Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Addison Johnson Cemetery.
