He is survived by: his wife Alicia Domonique Carter; his daughters, Markeita Carter, Mieasha Carter and Monisha Carter; his grandson Joseph Bell, Jr.; his siblings, Octave Bernard, Marvin Bernard (Mercedes), Gil Bernard (Laura), Kirk Carter (Tatia), Shelia Sims, Stephanie Landry and Donnie Jackson; his aunts, Myrtle Annie Johnson, Virginia Dennis (Edgar) and Lorenza Sims (Levi); his siblings-in-law, Darlene Thomas, Jennifer Stewart (Edward), Kimberly Jupiter (Darrick), Eugenia Domonique (Craig), Howard Domonique, III (Sandra), Jonathan Domonique and Joshua Domonique (Mia); and his godchildren, Kimberly Jupiter, Tiffany Derosier and Michael Jackson, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM and on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Pilgrim Baptist Church (266 LA-403, Napoleonville, LA 70390). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
