In the vast expanse of eternity, Lawrence shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Lawrence farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rozine Brown, and Lawrence Brown, Sr.; his grandparents, Charles J. Williams and Leona Williams; and his aunt Lela Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Mamie Henderson Brown; and his children, James Henry Smith, Jr. (Wanda), Lawrence Michael Brown, III (Tawanda) and Lorien Rozina Blakely (Oliver). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
