David Joseph Chevalier Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Joseph Chevalier (Natchitoches, Louisiana), who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David T. Chevalier and Louise Metoyer Chevalier; his brother Donald Ray Chevalier; his nephew Michael Chevalier Jr.; and his brothers-in-law, Ray Dunn and Kevin Lawrence.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Dunn Chevalier; his sons, David A and Derek A; his daughter-in-law Theresa; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Ariana, Dean and Derek J.; and his siblings, Michael Chevalier, Paul Chevalier, Linda Lawrence and Brenda Albeño. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and God children.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home (848 Keyser Ave, Natchitoches, LA 71457). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Catholic Church (423 LA-495, Cloutierville, LA 71416). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the St John the Baptist Catholic Church (423 LA-495, Cloutierville, LA 71416).
