George Matthews Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Matthews of Natchitoches, Louisiana, who passed away on August 1, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Perry Matthews, Sr. and Sadie Lou Dockens-Matthews; and his siblings, Euel Matthews, Eura Powell, Robert Perry Matthews, Jr., Margaret Boudreaux, Mary Santoro, Lois Branton, Martha Stewart and Jo Dean.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Rose Morelock; his grandchildren, Nick Reasons, Randi Brackett (Nicholas), Lacy Groselle (Michael) and Rachel Oliver; his great grandchildren, Olivia Brackett, Madison Brackett, Noah Groselle and Claire Groselle; Tina Matthews and Terri Matthews Reasons (Gary).
