He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. R. L. Ropp and Effie Lee Jones Ropp; his wife Quincy Lincecum Ropp; and his siblings, Col. Ralph L. Ropp and Linda Lou Ropp.
He is survived by: his friend Russell Jones; his nieces, Meg Ropp Mattei, Karen Green Cox, Kelley May Bingham and Kirkland Ropp Crosby; his nephew R. Lewis Ropp; his sister-in-law Fran Moses Ropp; and his uncle John. He is also survived by 13 great-nieces and -nephews, and 17 great-great nieces and nephews.
