He was predeceased by : his parents, Mildred Hill Cunningham and William Peyton Cunningham Sr.; his sister Lallah Cunningham Methvin; and his wife Mary "Cissy" Breazeale Cunningham. He is survived by : his brother Rev. John H. Cunningham (Joseph Payne Cunningham); his grandchildren, Alexandra Cunningham, Michael Cunningham, Camille Cunningham, William Dru Cunningham, Anna Grace Cunningham, Joseph Faucheaux (Catherine Burke Faucheaux), Peyton Lise Faucheaux, William Lee Sherrill (Kristen Sherrill), Aaron Blake Stroud (Danielle) and Theodore J. Stroud (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Molly Marie Stroud, Madeleine Nichole Stroud, Jackson Dean Stroud and Henry Blake Stroud.
