It is with sadness that the passing of Roy Allen Cook D. (Natchitoches, Louisiana) is shared. Roy, born on November 1, 1929, passed away on July 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Houston Cook and Exie Varah Westbrook Cook; his wife Mary Alice Barber Cook; his siblings, Reba, Mary, Grady, Mildred, Van Houston, Martha and Elouise; and his grandson Boaz Barber Squyres.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Squyres (Merlin Squyres), Eunice Smith (Calvin Smith), Sarah Axsom (Matthew Axsom) and Edward Cook (Jeannie Cook). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Dr. Cook's memory may make donations to the Mexican Indian Training Center.
