He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Harold "W. H." Parker and Gladys Wilma Parker (Tarver). He is survived by: his wife Dot Parker (Hopkins) of Natchitoches; his children, Greg Edward Parker (Ashley) of Denham Springs and Laurie Parker Griffey (John) of Thompson's Station, TN; his grandchildren, Jackson Cameron Parker of Nashville, TN, Olivia Scott Parker of Denham Springs, LA, Jane Ashley Parker of Denham Springs, LA and Samuel John Griffey of Thompson's Station, TN.; and his siblings, Barney Harold Parker (Pauline) of Colorado Springs, CO, Glenn Dale Parker (Laureen) of Austin, TX and Donna Marie Parker of Waynesville, NC. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sam's memory to the First Baptist Church of Natchitoches.
