He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas "Tom" and Willa Vee Barker; and his grandparents, Willie Hugh, Avey Nugent, William Pinkney and Daisy Barker.

He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Andy (Shelia) of Quitman, LA and Jennifer Morin (Shawn) of Shreveport, LA; his grandchildren, Corey Rowe (Amy) of Clay, LA, Courtney Roncal (Bryan) of Quitman, LA, Andrew Walker (Rachel) of Benton, LA, Allyson Walker and Cooper Austin of Shreveport, LA.; his siblings, Zoe Almond (Tony) of Sugarland, TX, Jan Nolley (Dennis) of Athens, TX, Meg Michael (Malcolm) of Natchitoches, LA and Len Barker (Ginger) of Greenwood, LA; and his aunts, June Stringer and Beth Schultz. He is also survived by his 8 great-grandchildren.
