He was predeceased by: his father Roger Dale Thompson; and his stepfather John Robins. He is survived by: his mother Pamela Sue Shores Thompson of Elkin; his siblings, Christina Thompson Crocker (Alan Michael) of Elkin and Matthew Van Thompson (Sarah) of Springfield, Virginia; his siblings' children, Ashley Allison, Mabon Van Thompson and Gwendolyn Van Thompson; and his aunts and uncles, Michael Shores (Mary Etta), Randy Shores (Teresa), Linda Shores (Vicki), Julia Patterson (Terry) and Sharon Irvin (Larry).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
