He was predeceased by: his parents, Mayo McAcy and Eleanor McAcy; his son-in-law Shane Smith, Sr.; and his brother Daniel McAcy. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Whiting McAcy of New Iberia; his daughters, Stephanie McAcy Smith of Youngsville and Carrie McAcy of Youngsville; his grandchildren, Jordi Norwood, Michael Norwood, Jr., Lexi Terrell (Quincey), Shane Smith, Jr. and Hailey Smith (Nick Landry); his great grandchildren, Kellan Landry, Ronan Landry and Trinity Terrell; and his sisters, Nora Ledet (Morris) and Frankie Tassin.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the Holy Family Cemetery (2807 N Curtis Ln, New Iberia, LA 70560).
