She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy Steven DeBuse; her parents, James Edward Carter and Jane Faust Carter; and her siblings, James Carter, Jr. and Marilynn Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Marilynn Jane DeBuse White of Eric White, DVM, Maree Elizabeth DeBuse and Steven Carter DeBuse (Rachel Melancon DeBuse); and her grandchildren, Emma Claire DeBuse, Owen Steven DeBuse and Levi Steven DeBuse.
Our unending gratitude extends to Monique Hankenhof, her caregiver, for all the love, compassion, and care extended to Elizabeth following covid in 2021 and continuing to her death.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her honor to First Methodist Church in New Iberia or to The Methodist Children's Home.
