He is survived by: his wife Gale Tenney Collins; his children, William Collins (Dawn), Chris Collins and Shelley Collins Roy (Ed); his grandchildren, Courtney Theriot (Oscar), Melissa Collins, Matthew Collins and Kristen Wallace (Justin); his great grandchildren, Layton Theriot, Averie Theriot, Hayden Wallace and Ares Wallace; his half-sister Barbara "Bobbie" Luke; and his niece Tammy Luke Watson.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Evangeline Funeral Home (314 E St Peter St, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary was held on Monday, May 26th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (108 E St Peter St, New Iberia, LA 70560).
