With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Judy Sonnier Douet (New Iberia, Louisiana), who passed away on July 7, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sonnier, Sr. and Marie Broussard Sonnier; her daughter Celeste Douet; and her brother John Sonnier, Jr. (Allen Douet, Sr.). She is survived by: her children, Connie Dore (Terry), Amy Davis (Alberia "AJ") and Allen Douet, Jr. (Leslie); her grandchildren, Jessi Moresi (Colby), Breanna James, Amber LaBiche (Cameron), Beau Buteaux and Celeste Dore; her great grandchild Tucker Moresi; her sister Linda S. Blanchard; and her sister-in-law Sue Sonnier.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Evangeline Funeral Home (314 E St Peter St, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
