It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Albert Breaux of New Iberia, Louisiana, who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Saint Maurice Albert and Emma Bonin Albert; her husband Joseph Clovis "J. C." Breaux III; her son J. C. Breaux IV; and her siblings, Elizabeth "Chut" Albert Lormand, Solange "Sole" Albert Dugas, Clemence "Bayon" Albert Broussard, Lucy Albert Guidry, Mayo Albert, Clytus "Cot" Albert and Albert Albert.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth P. Breaux (Kristi), Karen Breaux Faucheaux (Danny) and Kreig A. Breaux (Tiffany); and her grandchildren, Shane Faucheaux, Erin Henry, Amy Courrege, Stephanie Hartman, Jenny Reed, Sean Faucheaux, Joseph "Joey" Breaux V, Kelly Breaux, Alexander Breaux and Samuel Breaux. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
After moving to the Abbeville Highway, she and J. C. chaired the money counting teams at St. Marcellus Catholic Church. And later still once they moved to Rosemount Drive, she was a regular at the early "old people" mass on Sundays at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church until COVID and declining mobility made attendance impossible.
