He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Alice Smith Byron; his parents, Frank Byron and Anne Johnson Byron; his sister Patsy Wiltz (Francis); and his parents-in-law, Freddy and Martha Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Berchman Byron (Della), Richard Byron (Jennifer), Helen LeBlanc (Clyde, Jr.), Sharon Doucet (Nolan "Peewee"), Sandra Patin (Bryan), Janice Deshotel (Tony) and Bernadette Byron. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
