It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Simon Thibodeaux Jr. of New Iberia, Louisiana, who passed away on July 14, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Thibodeaux, Sr. and Adez Laviolette Thibodeaux; his wife Barbara Lee Romero Thibodeaux; his grandson Rivers Etienne Thibodeaux; and his son-in-law Rodney Desormeaux.
He is survived by: his children, Simon "Si" Thibodeaux, III (Michelle) of New Iberia, Kim Mestayer (Tab) of Dry Creek and Anissa Desormeaux of Broussard; his grandchildren, Lance Mestayer, Jobb Mestayer, Hope M. Stanford, Drake Thibodeaux, Donovan Derouen, Jr., Faith Thibodeaux and Dylan Desormeaux; his great grandchildren, Saige Mestayer, Jude Stanford, Landon Mestayer, Noah Stanford, Ava Thibodeaux, Brylon Derouen, Weston Thibodeaux, Millee Stanford and Jolee Stanford; and his brother Andrus "Andy" Thibodeaux (Alice).
A reception will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - New Iberia (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location.
