With sadness, we share the passing of Yvonne LaSalle Nelson of New Iberia, Louisiana. Yvonne, born on January 6, 1933, passed away on September 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis LaSalle and Louise Abbatte LaSalle; her husband James Nelson; her son Arnold Nelson; and her siblings, Roland LaSalle (Virginia), Dorothy Olivier (Robert) and Raymond Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Boutte (Dalton), Hillary Nelson, Joanne Rougeaux, Elouise Nelson, Christopher Nelson (Tina) and Jeffery Nelson (Carrie); and her sisters, Florine Romero and Ezola Fonteno. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 1:15 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - New Iberia (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church (2409 Coteau Rd, New Iberia, LA 70560). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 3:15 PM at the St. Michael Cemetery (101-199 Cemetery Rd, St Martinville, LA 70582).
