He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert E. Semel, Sr. and Leonie Louise Hart Semel. He is survived by: his sister Karen S. Attaway (Tom); his nephews, Lee Attaway (Stephanie) and Seth Attaway (Jessica); and his great-nephews, Whit Ephraim Attaway and Thomas James Attaway.
