With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alfred Ragas Sr. of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on January 7, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Alex R. Ragas; his parents, Henry P. Ragas and Anita Hamilton Ragas; his brother Henry Vincent; and his sibling-in-law Berdly Grant Ragas.
He is survived by: his wife Estelle Ozan Ragas; his sons, Alfred Ragas, Jr. and Aaron J. Ragas (Gilshanna); his stepdaughter Joann Jones Hunt (Eric); his grandchildren, Aaron J. Ragas, Jr., Victoria Ragas and Stephanie Ragas; his stepgrandchildren, Chantrell Hunt and Maureen Hunt; his stepgreat-grandchild Amir Hunt; his brothers, Ronald "Scott" Ragas and Donald Ragas; and his siblings-in-law, Diana Ragas, Ramona Ragas, Delores Eskinde and Mandrake Ozan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
