We announce the death of Bartow Bridges Pizzo (New Orleans, Louisiana), who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 90. Bartow will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Peter Joseph Pizzo, Jr.; her parents, Shirley Devlin Bridges and Charles Scott Bridges; and her brother Ambassador Peter Scott Bridges. She is survived by: her children, Ann Clayton Chamberlain (John), Page Castle (Ed) of Kensington, MD, Peter Joseph Pizzo, III (Maria) of Atlanta, GA and Sarah Pizzo Maholchic (Adrian) of Arlington, VA; her grandchildren, Pierson Hughes Castle, Clayton Johnston Castle, William Reilly Castle, Joseph Dickson Bridges Chamberlain, Nicole Ann Pizzo, Peter Joseph Pizzo, IV, Victoria Amelie Pizzo, Andrew Oscar Pizzo and Margot Carroll Maholchic; her sister Mary Bridges Wiggenhorn; and her friend Glenna Gillespie Kramer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
