He was predeceased by: his parents, John French and Marie Honore Hofelich Gordon. He is survived by: his siblings, Judy Carlin (Peter) of Sarasota, Trish Nicholas (John) of Hayesville, John Gordon (Helen) of Mill Spring, Peter Gordon (Dawn) of Sarasota and Michael Gordon of Asheville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews.
