She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Maher and Ellen Maher; her husband Patrick; her children, Melinda Slaughter (Mike) and Greg (Sydney); her grandsons, Landon and Luke; and her siblings, James, Mike (Julia), Kelly (Sandy), Mary Fulmer (Eric) and Ellen Hayes (Kenneth). She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Catherine requested donations made to Episcopal Day School and the St. Louis Catholic High School Foundation in Lake Charles.
