With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charlie Simmons of New Orleans, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2025 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Evans and Tom Simmons, II; and his siblings, Willie James Cline, Will Taylor and Mary Louise Watts.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Simmons Davis (Jessica), Frederick Nathaniel Simmons, Natacha Kimbrough, Donmonique Kelson, Christopher Kelley and Shawnece Carr; and his siblings, Josephine Turner (Floyd), Ethel Mae Evans, Rebecca Lawson and Walter Simmons (Gail). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
