He is survived by: his wife Maxine Pittman; his children, Ashley Pittman Jones (Norman), David Pittman, Jr. (Vinisha) and Jairus Pittman; his granddaughter Emerie Noelle Jones; his mother Margaret Pittman; his siblings, Wallace Pittman, Carolyn Pittman, Charlotte Woods (Xavier), Joseph Pittman, Sr. (Phyllis), Cynthia Jones (Eddie), Michele Horne (Ruben), Rosalind Phillip, Racheal Phillip Baldwin, Karen Denise Phillip, Trina and Sarina Phillip; his aunts and uncles, Claudine Watts Alexander (Frank), Thomas Watts (Jeanette Armstrong) and Percy Jackson, Jr. (Deborah); and his siblings-in-law, Sylvester Brown (Tamara), Samuel Brown, Sr., Elizabeth Brown, Dianne Brown and Cheryl Brown.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church (3308 Orleans Ave, New Orleans, LA 70119). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
