He is survived by: his spouse Carmen Leyrer Dietz; his children, Jennifer Dietz Connison (Brett O.), Casey Dietz Zainey (J. Christopher) and David Sheldon Dietz, Jr. (Anna Giorlando); his grandchildren, Brett Owen Connison, Jr., Parker David Connison, Jack Charles Connison, Benjamin Daniel Connison of Caroline Carmen, Clare Ellen Zainey, Leyrer Louise Dietz, Kiernan Rose Dietz, Mack David Dietz and Mairin Elizabeth Dietz; and his siblings, Dr. Thompson M. Dietz IV (late Karen), T. Lawrence Dietz (Marylyn) and Cynthia Dietz Hebert (Allen).
