With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Denise Blanchard Martin (New Orleans, Louisiana), who passed away on May 6, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph M. Martin; and her parents, Edgar, Sr. Blanchard and Mildred Perrilliat Blanchard. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Martin (Mike), Darolyn Martin, D'Andrea Martin Winchester (Frederick), Karen Martin (Alfred), Keith Martin (Valerie) and Karla Martin; her granddaughters, Kelli D. Scott-Hamilton (Clark, Jr.) and Leah D. LeBlanc; her great grandchild Tristan J. LeBlanc; and her siblings-in-law, Jacqueline Blanchard (late Edgar Blanchard, Jr.), Louise Dupart (late Floyd Dupart), Yvonne Dupart Martin (late Ira Martin), Lorraine Payne (Tony Payne) and John Dupart, Sr. (Harriet). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Gentilly Baptist Church (5141 Franklin Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
