In the vast expanse of eternity, Doretha Jane shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Doretha Jane farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her husband Claude G. Legaux Jr.; and her parents, Henry Price and Cecelia Creecy Price. She is survived by: her children, Maria Williams (Aaron), Anthony Legaux (Shelina), Karen Lewis (Mark), Kim Legaux, Lisa Legaux and Raequel Slater (Joseph).

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Majestic Mortuary (1833 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70113). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
