It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elrita Mae Pollard Patterson of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on September 13, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her son Junior; her parents, Frank Pollard and Savannah M. Boutte; and her siblings, Gail Bornum, Carolyn Bush, Freddie McKnight, Sr. and Williams Jones.

She is survived by : her children, Kenneth Dorsey (Eve), Kirby Dorsey (Angela), Kelvin Dorsey (Denise), Yolanda Dorsey and Allen Dorsey; her siblings, Michael Manson (Brenda), John Pollard (Masilena), Ivory Reed and Doris (Victor) of Washington; and her friend Lois Ann Thomas (Betty Steward). She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 22nd 2023 at 8:30 AM at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church (1249 Leboeuf St, New Orleans, LA 70114). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 22nd 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Mt Sinai Baptist Church (1249 Leboeuf St, New Orleans, LA 70114).
