She is survived by: her husband Joseph Howard Sr.; her children, Sonya Stewart (Brian), Angela Owens (Ebony) and Joseph Jr.; her grandchildren, Kordell Howard, Brandon Cameron, Ja'lyn Howard, Braelynn Sennett, Noah Owens and Ryan Owens; her stepdaughters, Shawanda Howard, LaQuinta Jones and Nikita Lampton; her siblings, Gwendolyn E. Smith, MaryJane E. Thomas, Louis W. Ellis Jr. (Delores), Darnell W. Ellis and Troy Ellis; and her godsons, John A. Taylor and Sterling Smith. She is also survived by seven step grandchildren.
