He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert F. Monette Sr. and Bernice Branch Monette; his siblings, Wilbert Monette Jr. and Ercelle Ware; and his daughter Ashley Monette.
He is survived by: his wife Elorial Masters Monette; his children, Sherie Reese Sr. (Anthony), Dr. Jovian Gray (Daryl), Eric Monette Jr. (Tanjaneeka) and Rachel Hudson (Karrington); his grandchildren, Haley Miniard (Keegan), Freddie Washington IV, Madeleine Gray, Jude Gray, Caila Monette, Leah Gray, Cai Monette, Kanin Hudson, Kreed Hudson, Kato Hudson and Kohen Hudson; his great grandchildren, Nora Miniard, Nolan Miniard and Nowell Miniard; and his sisters, Lynn Lewis (Ralph) and Sabrina Jourdain (Alden). He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church (7300 Crowder Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70127). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
